SPREAD THE WORD: KROGER PEANUT BUTTER DRIVE TO BENEFIT LOCAL FOOD BANKS
Customers can donate peanut butter at any Kroger store in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, East Texas, Central Louisiana and Northwest Louisiana.
The Kroger Co.’s Dallas Division is hosting a Peanut Butter Food Drive from May 28 – June 17, 2025 to benefit local Feeding America food banks throughout the Metroplex, East Texas and Louisiana. Participation is easy – customers can stop by any Kroger location to purchase jars of peanut butter and place in the donation bin. Peanut butter is a wanted item at food banks since it lasts for long periods of time and is a great source of protein for people and families facing food insecurity.
Texas and Louisiana are both above the national average for people and families facing food insecurity, but for as little as $1.49 after a digital coupon, shoppers can donate a 16-ounce jar of Kroger Peanut Butter to provide a nourishing protein for their neighbors in need.
“Shelf-stable proteins such as peanut butter play a crucial role in supporting our community in the battle against food insecurity,” said Rudy DiPietro, Dallas Division President of The Kroger Co. “As part of our Zero Hunger | Zero Waste social and environmental impact plan, we are pleased to launch this Peanut Butter Food Drive and look forward to helping our food bank partners restock their shelves.”
The Kroger Co., Dallas Division donated more than 4 million pounds of food in 2024 to local Feeding America Food Banks and commits more than $5 million in donations annually to support the company’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Initiative which works to eliminate hunger and waste in communities where we serve. In Texas, Kroger has created more than 127 million meals for our communities. Every day, Kroger customers can also support the fight against food insecurity by rounding up to the nearest dollar to the register.
