Clean Out Your Freezer Day

The Food Bank of Central Louisiana is pleased to partner with Hunters For The Hungry Louisiana for the annual Clean Out Your Freezer Day. Louisiana hunters who want to make room in their freezers for the upcoming hunting season and provide meals for those in need can donate fish, meat, and other frozen foods. Donations must be properly packaged, labeled and dated game, fish, protein and other frozen foods.

In the Food Bank of Central Louisiana’s service area, the following sites will accept donations for the Food Bank and their partner agencies.

Alexandria/Pineville DROP-OFF LOCATION

August 23 | 1-4 pm

All items collected will be donated to Food Bank of Central Louisiana.

  • Giles Hyundai, 2136 Rainbow Dr, Pineville

 Marksville DROP-OFF LOCATION

August 23 | 1-4 pm

All items collected will be donated to Washington St. Hope Center.

  • Juneau’s Cajun Meats, 6880 Highway 4552

Natchitoches DROP-OFF LOCATION

August 22 | 9 am-12 pm

All collected items will be donated to the Natchitoches Council on Aging.

The Food Bank of Central Louisiana is a non-profit organization whose mission is to alleviate hunger in central Louisiana. The Food Bank distributes food and grocery products to needy families through a network of approved charitable agencies in the following eleven parishes: Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon and Winn.
