Spring 2020 Food for Thought Newsletter

At the time of this writing, April 1st, our community and our country are experiencing a unique need due to the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). The Food Bank of Central Louisiana has mobilized to ensure our most vulnerable neighbors have access to the nutritious food they need during this uncertain time. As schools have closed, we know that means thousands of children are without breakfast and lunch. Our seniors are at the highest risk of COVID-19 complications. Hourly workers are worried about paying their bills and buying food as so many of our service industries are closed. Many of our food pantries are not open as they are run by senior volunteers who are most at risk for infection. Read More.........
