SNAP Outreach Coordinator Helps with applications across central Louisiana

The Food Bank of Central Louisiana’s SNAP Outreach Coordinator, Lisa Robinson, will travel throughout the organization’s service area to assist with food stamp applications.  Appointments and telephone interviews can be scheduled by calling the Food Bank of Central Louisiana at 318-445-2773 or 318-792-4036. 

 

2nd Tuesday – Harvest of Hope in Montgomery, 9 a.m. – Noon

1st Wednesday – Avoyelles Progress Action Committee in Marksville, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

1st Thursday – Winnfield First United Methodist Church, 9 a.m. – Noon

1st Thursday – Winnfield First Presbyterian Church, 12:30-2:30 p.m.

1st, 2nd, and 5th Monday – LaSalle Council on Aging in Jena, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

1st, 3rd, and 5th Friday – Delta Storefront Mission in Ferriday, 8 – 11:30 a.m.

2nd Wednesday – Mansura Care and Hope, Noon – 3 p.m.

2nd Thursday – Oakdale Community Center, 7-10 a.m.

2nd Thursday – Glenmora Fire Station, 11 a.m. – Noon

2nd and 4th Friday – Helping Hands Storefront in Leesville, 9 a.m. – Noon

2nd Saturday – Cane River Food Pantry in Natchitoches, 8 -11 a.m.

3rd Tuesday - Breadcrumb Center in Jonesville, 8:30 – 11:45 a.m.

3rd Wednesday – Vernon Community Action Council in Leesville, 8 a.m. – Noon

3rd Monday and 4th Thursday – Grant Council on Aging in Colfax, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

4th Tuesday – Natchitoches Council on Aging, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

4th Wednesday – Sabine Parish Council on Aging in Many, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

 

 

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides families in poverty with benefits to purchase food. The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) reports several Louisiana parishes where only 60% of those eligible participate in the program.

                   

In addition to providing assistance with SNAP applications, the Food Bank’s Outreach Coordinator can also assist with applications for child care assistance program, child support assistance program, child support enforcement program, family independence temporary assistance program, kinship care subsidy program, disaster supplemental nutrition assistance program formerly known as disaster food stamps.
