Food Bank of Central Louisiana Present Volunteer Awards

The Food Bank annually gives awards to recognize and honor the individuals and organizations who demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting the Food Bank’s mission of alleviating hunger in Central Louisiana.


This year’s awards include:



Make a Difference Award –Jeffrey Botson


Member Agency of the Year – Mansura Care & Hope


Receiving Manager of the Year – Kathy LeBoeuf


Retail Food Donor of the Year – Walmart Store #4295


Volunteer of the Year – Ashley Blackwell


Volunteer Group of the Year – Lagniappe Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses


Volunteer Family of the Year – Jennifer, Rylie, Sadie, Callie, and Jude Sharbono


Good Food Project Resource Volunteer of the Year - Jane Fillette


Good Food Project Volunteer of the Year - Rhonda Laird


Good Food Project Children’s Programs Volunteer of the Year - Dianne Melder


Agency Volunteer of the Year Beverly Baker, True Vine Missionary Baptist Church



Every day we work to feed the hungry in our community, but our efforts would not be possible without the continued support from the Central Louisiana community. We are grateful for the funds and food donated to our organization, as well as the countless hours our volunteers donate to help others,” said Jayne Wright-Velez, executive director of the Food Bank.
