Clash of the Cans

Monday, November 27, Pineville High School Soccer, Key Club, and Student Council will host a canned food drive to benefit the Food Bank. Local high school students with valid school IDs may donate 2 canned goods or pay $2 to watch the Lady Rebel and Rebel soccer teams take on the ASH Lady Trojan and Trojan soccer teams. Come out on November 27 to support the Food Bank and our local high school soccer teams!

Tioga High School to host Food Drive at Playoff Game

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Indian Quarterback Club in conjunction with Tioga High School's Football Team invites the community to support the Food Bank of Central Louisiana by donating non-perishable food items at Friday night’s playoff game Tioga High School​. All the food collected will be donated to the Food Bank the week of Thanksgiving, and will be distributed to low-income families in our community. Good luck, Indians!

Food Bank of Central Louisiana Present Volunteer Awards

The Food Bank annually gives awards to recognize and honor the individuals and organizations who demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting the Food Bank’s mission of alleviating hunger in Central Louisiana. Walker Automotive "CAN" Make a Difference

Throughout the month of November, Walker Automotive will donate $5 for each vehicle sold for the purchase of canned food items to benefit the Food Bank of Central Louisiana.

Annual Christmas Cheer Food Drive Underway

KALB-TV NBC/CBS2, the Food Bank of Central Louisiana, and the Tunica Biloxi Indians of Louisiana is teaming up with local schools for the annual Christmas Cheer food drive to benefit needy families in Central Louisiana. Schools in Avoyelles, Grant, Natchitoches, Rapides, and Vernon parishes are collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items to donate for the drive. This is the first year for the schools in Grant and Vernon parishes to participate in the Christmas Cheer Food Drive. The Food Bank of Central Louisiana will pick up the food from participating schools and hold a “weigh-in” to determine which schools collected the most food. Subway offers free sandwiches on World Sandwich Day

Stopping by your local Subway this Friday, November 3, will not only get you a free sandwich, but will also help feed the hungry. Subway is taking the traditional National Sandwich Day global with World Sandwich Day, inviting customers to join its "Live Feed" by enjoying a special offer that will help fight hunger around the world. Local Subway restaurants are offering an incredible one-day special. Customers who buy a sandwich and a 30 oz. drink not only get a free sandwich of equal or lesser value, they also get the satisfaction of knowing the restaurant is donating a meal to Feeding America for each purchase. The Food Bank of Central Louisiana will benefit from local purchases.
