Network for Good – Online Donations
The Food Bank of Central Louisiana utilizes the services of Network for Good for online donations. Donors choosing to make an online donation from the Food Bank’s website are directed to the Network for Good site. Network for good uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all data submitted to and from their site over the web. SSL renders donors’ personal information, including credit card numbers, virtually unreadable to anyone who intercepts it. SSL is supported by all major browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.
Network for Good never sells, trades or rents donor information, and their site has security measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of donor and donation data. Donors also have the option to give anonymously to our organization through Network for Good.
Only the information the donor provides (name, mailing address, donation amount) is directed to the Food Bank. The donor also has the option to provide their email address.
Donors may choose not to receive direct mail, email, or marketing materials from The Food Bank of Central Louisiana by contacting our office. Upon receipt and processing of an “opt out” request, the Food Bank of Central Louisiana will, within a reasonable amount of time, remove their information from any future marketing communications.
The Food Bank of Central Louisiana utilizes Constant Contact for email marketing. Email addresses collected from donors and volunteers are entered in our email data base. An opt-out clause is listed in every email sent through Constant Contact. Contacts who unsubscribe or who opt-out from our list are taken from our active lists and automatically added to the Do Not Mail list.
The Food Bank of Central Louisiana does not share our donor’s names and addresses outside the organization.
