Donate to the Food Bank

Contributions to the Food Bank of Central Louisiana helps many families in countless ways. Your gift will go towards the general operation of the Food Bank activities as well as used for the many programs that we sponser in the local communities. You may send a donation via mail or call us at (318) 445-2773. You may also fill out the form at the bottom of this page to request more information be sent to you.

Network for Good – Online Donations
The Food Bank of Central Louisiana utilizes the services of Network for Good for online donations. Donors choosing to make an online donation from the Food Bank’s website are directed to the Network for Good site. Network for good uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all data submitted to and from their site over the web. SSL renders donors’ personal information, including credit card numbers, virtually unreadable to anyone who intercepts it. SSL is supported by all major browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.
Network for Good never sells, trades or rents donor information, and their site has security measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of donor and donation data. Donors also have the option to give anonymously to our organization through Network for Good.
Only the information the donor provides (name, mailing address, donation amount) is directed to the Food Bank. The donor also has the option to provide their email address.

Opt Out
Donors may choose not to receive direct mail, email, or marketing materials from The Food Bank of Central Louisiana by contacting our office. Upon receipt and processing of an “opt out” request, the Food Bank of Central Louisiana will, within a reasonable amount of time, remove their information from any future marketing communications.

Constant Contact
The Food Bank of Central Louisiana utilizes Constant Contact for email marketing. Email addresses collected from donors and volunteers are entered in our email data base. An opt-out clause is listed in every email sent through Constant Contact. Contacts who unsubscribe or who opt-out from our list are taken from our active lists and automatically added to the Do Not Mail list.

The Food Bank of Central Louisiana does not share our donor’s names and addresses outside the organization.

Requests for food assistance increases

In a recent survey, 64% of pantries, 38% of kitchens, and 30% of shelters reported that there had been an increase since 2006 in the number of clients who come to their emergency food program sites.

Working Families Need Help too

In a survey released by the U.S. Conference of Mayors it was reported that demand for food aid rose throughout the country by 19%. Working families topped the list.
